WORK IN PROGRESS

A durational piece of performance art that takes place in an open city centre. The piece would involve a large-scale sculpture, inspired by the early 'drawings in space' of David Smith, a structure made from tubing or other flexible tubular shaped material being twisted to form a shape which casts a shadow of intersecting lines on the ground. The sculpture would be placed in a large open public space on a white canvas. Beginning at dawn, two artists would paint the shadows caused by the sun, changing paint colours every half an hour until dusk.
